Mission 

The groundwork mission statement of the Youth 4 Youth board was originally read “Youth 4 Youth of Tennessee has been established to educate the public about foster children in general, and specifically, to help change the public’s perception of foster through education; to provide peer-to-peer mentoring; and to develop community resources for foster youth”. During the May 2007 convening of foster youth brought together to further establish the infrastructure of the statewide and regional board this mission statement was modified to read “Youth for Youth (Y4Y) of Tennessee is committed to reaching out to foster youth, networking with the community, and making an impact to change policies and practices that effect youth”.
